YNPN Austin Skills Builder: Social Media

We here at YNPN Austin believe everyone should have the chance to build the necessary skills to remain effective in their position, and competitive in the job market. Our brand new monthly series ‘YNPN Austin Skills Builder’ is designed to help you learn from other young nonprofit professionals in the non-profit field and improve your expertise in a variety of relevant areas like Social Media, Managing People, and Communication but it’s not limited to these three. The series works like this: Every month we will cover one topic, focusing on building your proficiency in that topic so that you leave with an improved understanding and ability in the target area. The best of all these series are free to all YNPN Austin Members!

For our inaugural month, we will be covering the ins-and-outs of social media. Join us on June 19 from 6-7pm to discuss why social media is an important skill and in demand in the Austin workforce. We'll share tips on creating content, choosing the right platform for your message, getting started with ads, and troubleshooting challenges in an ever-changing social media landscape. This is a peer to peer learning opportunity, designed for cultivating and strengthening social media skills for managing professional social media presence.
