Founded in 2007, the Dream Come True Foundation has successfully carried Dream Achievers, along with their family members, to financial independence, moving them from reliance on public assistance to contributing tax payers and even home owners. The successful candidate will share the same enthusiastic passion for the Dream Come True mission as exhibited by its Founders and Board members. The Board expects to be supporting 20 Dream Achievers each
year beginning in 2019.

Position Summary

The Board of Directors desires to build on its early success by hiring an Executive Director focused on fund development, board development, operational effectiveness and community awareness.

This is a three-quarter time exempt position with committee meetings, Board meetings, and events that fall outside of traditional office hours. The Executive Director is responsible for administering a $265,000 budget and overseeing 2 part-time staff. For the right candidate the Board will consider bringing someone on a part-time with the understanding that the candidate can move to full time as the program grows. Compensation is commensurate with experience.

Relationships

The Executive Director will report to the Board President and work closely with preexisting IT, marketing, and administrative contractors.

The Director will also work with Board leadership and volunteers, funders, partners, and other outside organizations.

Position priorities
• Successfully work with Board of Directors and committees to execute their goals and direction as established in the annual strategic and work plans.
• Ability to implement major fundraising efforts including the annual fundraiser, special events, and grant writing.
• Assist the program services committee in providing board-approved resources to Dream Achievers.
• Work with the marketing committee to implement successful strategies for growth in fund-raising, number of Dream Achievers served, and number of volunteers.
• Oversee the day to day operations of DCTF, to include managing programs within the approved budget, overseeing contractors, insuring deadlines are met and the accuracy and quality of correspondence, communication, website, etc.
• Maintain ongoing data to support key metrics on Dream Achievers, such as number in the program over time, number completed, success rates, demographic breakdown, fields of study and any other as determined by the board to be critical to measuring DCTF’s success.
