Texas Council on Family Violence is looking for a Public Policy Coordinator.
You will focus on supporting best practices for transitional housing for survivors of family violence in Texas. You will provide support to agencies and professionals that directly advocate for survivors of family violence, as well as those who develop and implement laws, regulations, and policies to maximize victim safety and offender accountability. The successful candidate will be able to provide resources, data, research and answers to advocates, housing system officials, and other allied professionals. She or he will create written materials and help plan and carry out conferences and trainings.
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a related field is required and three years of experience in policy, legal or systems advocacy work. Thorough knowledge of domestic violence and an understanding of the legal system are also required. This position reports to the Public Policy Manager.
