YOU MAY BE THE PERSON WE’RE LOOKING FOR!
If you’re policy savvy, love training people and making presentations, are an exceptional writer, obsessed with quality, and collaborate well, look no further! The Texas Council on Family Violence needs you to be a Coordinator on the Policy Programmatic Sub-team.
The Texas Council on Family Violence is the only 501(c)(3) nonprofit coalition in Texas dedicated solely to creating safer communities and freedom from family violence. You will join 12 other accomplished coordinators in our organization who work on a variety of statewide projects. Your focus will be on the intersections of mental health and trauma-informed advocacy as these relate to best practices for serving survivors of family violence as well as supporting family violence programs to best implement state regulations. You will support service providers through training, consultation, and research to find solutions to their questions and challenges. You will help plan and write materials both for training and use by survivors, family violence programs, and allied partners.
You’ll be an expert at spinning lots of plates and a serious professional with a sense of humor – all while staying focused on our core mission: to support survivors of domestic violence through agencies that provide direct services. Supporting Texas agencies that directly serve survivors is what we do. They are why we exist, and we go out of our way to give them the support they need with training, conferences, answers and solutions, and support at the legislature. Other states often model on our approaches.
