Little Helping Hands: Program Manager

LITTLE HELPING HANDS (LHH), an Austin-based 501c3 charitable organization, is seeking a full-time program manager to join our team! The position is ideal for an energetic individual with outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate MUST be flexible, autonomous, and excel at people management.  


  • Responsible for managing the organization’s Activity Leads which includes development of appropriate systems/processes for recruitment, training, coaching, evaluation, and retention

  • Manage all Activity Lead scheduling and communications  

  • Build and monitor the monthly Activity Calendar; support monthly calendar drops

  • Handle other aspects of program management such as supply pick-ups/shopping, participant communications and leading activities.

  • Work closely with Program Director and other program staff to ensure consistent and high quality programming; support Youth Leadership Programs as needed

  • Handle program inquiries and phone calls

  • Some weekend and evening work required

  • Special projects as assigned



  • Minimum 3 years experience recruiting and supervising employees/volunteers

  • Experience developing and facilitating trainings

  • Experience or strong interest in working with youth and families

  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills

  • Strong writing and communication skills

  • Extremely organized, detail-oriented, trustworthy and dependable

  • Ability to multi-task and coordinate with multiple parties

  • Willing to work on weekends and evenings

  • Proficient at MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)



  • College graduate

  • General Knowledge of, MailChimp, and Salesforce
