Learning & Leadership Program Assistant - Mission Capital

The Learning & Leadership Program Assistant is a highly-organized and detail-oriented individual who can successfully assist the Learning & Leadership team (L&L) with membership and training program data management, help ensure that internal and external customers experience a high level of customer service in their interactions with the Learning & Leadership team. The Learning & Leadership Program Assistant is supervised by the Learning and Leadership Program Specialist and works closely and collaboratively with the other L&L team members and the Mission Capital staff generally.

Mission Capital offers a nonprofit membership program and a powerful suite of standardized and customized learning opportunities designed to build the capacity and connectedness of nonprofit and philanthropic leaders. These learning events cover a wide-range of topics including leadership development, outcomes measurement, project management, team management and dynamics, board governance, strategy and planning, and more. Mission Capital is focused on equipping and connecting mission-driven leaders, organizations and networks working to advance equity and opportunity in Central Texas.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Data entry into and management of Salesforce data related to the Membership program, multiple training events, and contracts. Manage event workflow for all Learning & Leadership events (which includes customized trainings, Leadership Academies, Team Intensives, and other special events.) Work flow may include: attendee registration tracking, attendee email communication, tracking of pre-work survey data, and flow of event registrations to Salesforce Prepare, distribute, collect and compile evaluations for all Learning and Leadership programs Serve as backup for day-of event activities, including liaison for vendors, attendees and presenters, setting up of training space including coordinating with speaker for handouts and AV needs, and tearing down of training spaces after an event. Assist Membership Manager during membership renewal season with accurate, timely reporting in addition to annual, ongoing coordination of membership benefits. Work with Program Specialist to ensure accurate reporting related to learning events. Understands and values equity as an organizational operating principle and is committed to continued learning on issues related to diversity, equity, and inclusion


Indicators of Success:

Learning & Leadership department data management is maintained in a timely fashion and with attention to detail ensuring accurate data. Assigned projects and associated tasks are completed on time and with positive feedback from colleagues and clients. Proactive action is taken to address the above job responsibilities and workload is effectively managed. Assistant identifies and shares strategies for improving data management and/or L&L team coordination to allow all to achieve greater impact through our work. Qualifications and Competencies: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, and a CRM system, preferably Salesforce Strong attention to detail and well-developed organizational skills Proven ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced, fluid environment with multiple goals and deadlines A flexible and enthusiastic approach to providing outstanding service to internal and external customers Interest in Mission Capital’s mission and shared core values. Some college experience and/or relevant professional experience



General office environment with low to moderate noise level. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but requires standing and walking for up to 15% of the time. Work is generally performed within an office environment with standard office equipment available. Occasional work required outside of normal business hours. Access to a mobile phone (with email access) is required periodically. Personal transportation is required.
