SAM is seeking a new team member to fill a Programs Coordinator role. This is a full-time position with the primary responsibility for working closely with client account leads and teams to provide coordination for a wide variety of SAM client programs. This particular coordinator role will be allocated to work directly with one of SAM’s clients, the Capital Area Dental Foundation (CADF). CADF’s mission is to transform lives in Central Texas with healthy smiles by offering life-changing access to charitable dental care. CADF achieves this by forming strategic partnerships and developing programs that connect volunteer dentists with the people in the community who need dental care most. This position serves as the connector between the volunteer dentists and the patients in need. The person in this position will assist in handling the day to day operations of the dental programs such as: phone calls and emails related to case management, database entries and reporting, volunteer recruitment/retention, committee meetings, etc.

Finance Assistant/Bookkeeper

SAM is seeking a new team member to fill a Finance Assistant/Bookkeeper role. This is a full-time position with the primary responsibility of ensuring client finances are presented accurately and efficiently. The Finance Assistant/Bookkeeper executes daily bookkeeping tasks, primarily including recording daily transactions and maintaining the accuracy of payments in client financial databases.  This person will ensure all income and expense transactions are recorded and prepare the books to be reconciled by the start of each new month. This individual may also assist with administrative functions such as recording event registrations, processing group payments, and monitoring budget progress. This position could be part-time or contract, depending on work load and experience.

Austin Pets Alive!: American Pets Alive! Deputy Development Director

The Deputy Development Director will work collaboratively with Austin Pets Alive!’s Development Director to create and implement a funding strategy for American Pets Alive! (AmPA!). Historically treated as a program within APA!, AmPA! will become its own 501c3 organization in 2018, while its operations will remain closely integrated with APA! AmPA!’s work will be to extend APA!’s lifesaving mission through teaching and mentoring of personnel and shelters beyond Austin, including through the new Maddie’s® Lifesaving Academy and the annual American Pets Alive! conference. AmPA! also will share APA!’s top-level executive team and board of directors, along with its facilities, while developing its own brand and fundraising streams. With AmPA! acting as the vehicle for broadening the reach of APA!’s unique and highly successful model for lifesaving beyond the local community in central Texas, the Deputy Development Director will extend fundraising outside of APA!’s historical base in Austin, bringing in regional and national-level support.
