The Emerging Leadership Academy is a dynamic program for the next generation of nonprofit leaders in Central Texas. Participants will develop a deeper understanding of their leadership capacity, advance their ability to lead in the nonprofit sector and strengthen their network of nonprofit peers. The Associate is a professional position within the district council. As an integral part of the district council team, the Associate is a professional liaison between the district council, ULI headquarters, and North Texas–area real estate, planning, and development professionals. The Associate is one of the faces of the district council—members call the Associate first for assistance and information, so it is imperative that he or she be poised, courteous, and friendly. The Associate must be able to travel occasionally to district council events throughout the area and attend meetings, events, or programs in the early mornings or evenings.
The Associate is an informed resource for district council committees, helping these committees ensure that all work is consistent with ULI’s policies and procedures and that the goals and objectives of ULI North Texas are met.
