As the Manager, Human Capital Operations, you will play a critical role in leading and administering key human capital functions and data integration critical to system functionality, decision making, and the employee lifecycle. In partnership with the Chief People Officer and the Director, Human Capital, you will be responsible for maintaining critical workstreams like HC systems reporting, process oversight and support, and benefit and leave administration.  The Manager, HC Operations reports to the Director, Human Capital. This is a part-time, temporary role based out the Association Offices.

 

What are the details?

  • Act as a trusted partner within the HC function and in support of branch operations.
  • Maintain all personnel policies and procedures and provide guidance and interpretation to staff.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to HR, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends and makes recommendations for improvement of the organization’s policies, procedures, and practices on personnel matters.
  • Support staff to resolve human resource problems, interpret HR policies and procedures and recommend effective courses of action providing consistency across the association.
  • Consult with branch leadership providing HR guidance when appropriate.
  • Drive implementation and measure the outcomes of HR projects/initiatives
  • Identifies optimal solutions that meet the needs of the HR functions by recommending process improvements, system enhancements, and alternatives based on specific needs.
  • Audits HRIS system capabilities for accuracy, integrity, and functionality.
  • In partnership with the Human Capital department’s leadership, administer human capital initiatives to support organizational needs
  • Develop and maintain relationships with branch leadership.
  • Assists with coordinating yearly processes including year-end closing, yearly rate, and pay schedule adjustments, work year calendars, etc.
  • Provides leadership and oversees employee information collections, analysis, and reporting; supervises the input of data and ensures data integrity
  • Oversees internal auditing and quality control efforts
  • As needed, provides back-up support for the payroll function
  • Oversees benefit administration including employee approvals, benefit carrier notifications, processing changes, and reporting.
  • Gathers, consolidates, and analytically processes information
  • Demonstrates good knowledge of statistics, research methods, measurements concepts, and metrics.
  • Engages in preliminary analysis of collected data and reports on findings to Human Capital department leadership.
  • Analyzes data and reports findings and trends.
  • Understands how effective people and organization management can differentiate the Y from the competition and further our cause.
  • Maintain a basic level of knowledge of relevant employment laws and talent acquisition best practices
  • Complete other duties/special projects as assigned

 

What you bring to the Cause:

Education & Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in human capital, business management, or equivalent with 3-5 years of professional experience in human capital management.
