LSVAP is seeking a flexible individual with initiative, creativity, superlative communication skills, and commitment to social justice to support legal work for immigrant survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and trafficking. This is a full-time position.
Primary Duties: provides direct victim services to immigrant survivors of abuse, conduct outreach, presentations and training in service area; advocate for improved resources for immigrant survivors in rural Texas communities; travels to rural Texas communities as part of advocacy and outreach work, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Minimum 2 years office experience; bilingual English/Spanish reading/writing/speaking required; experience working with women, immigrants, families a plus; experience in legal setting a plus; high degree of familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and standard office systems required; ability to work independently and follow through on assignments in a timely manner; typing speed must be at least 40-45 words per minute; organized and reliable with strong attention to detail; strong administrative skills.
Compensation: $35,000 - $40,000 DOE, with full benefits and generous vacation time. Generally informal work setting with colleagues dedicated to anti-domestic violence and social justice movements. LSVAP is an equal opportunity employer.
