YNPN Speaker Series: Effective Communication with Lisa Bussett

Join YNPN Austin for a compelling presentation with Lisa Bussett, Coordinator at the ACC Center for Nonprofit Studies. The presentation will focus on how to have crucial conversations to effectively communicate in both your professional and personal life. A crucial conversation is a discussion between two or more people where the stakes are high, opinions vary, and emotions run strong. These conversations—when handled poorly or ignored—lead to strained relationships and dismal results. However, when you can speak and be heard (and encourage others to do the same), you’ll surface the best ideas, make the highest-quality decisions, and then act on your decisions with unity and commitment. This session is an excerpt of the two-day Crucial Conversations workshop, and will focus on the skill of identifying the crucial conversation you’re not holding, or not holding well, figure out where you’re going wrong, and provide solutions to get unstuck.

Light snacks and refreshments will be provided! As always, this event if free to YNPN members and $10 for non-members. Please RSVP through Eventbrite!
