Membership Chair - The Membership Chair of the YNPN Austin Board of Directors is responsible for the overall management and strategy of YNPN Austin’s membership and recruitment efforts.
  • Position Specific Responsibilities
    • Implement effective strategies to grow YNPN Austin’s membership and increase the value of membership.
    • Actively recruit new members to YNPN through strategic outreach to the Austin community.
    • Research other membership models and provide strategic direction for YNPN Austin’s model.
    • Improve processes, procedures, and committee manual for Membership Committee.
    • Coordinate with the Strategic Partnership Liaison to develop successful partnerships to increase member benefits and outreach opportunities.
    • Coordinate with the National Partnership Liaison to align the YNPN Austin membership program with YNPN National efforts.
    • Work with Professional Development Chair to promote YNPN’s Professional Development events as a key benefit to YNPN Austin membership.
    • Work with Communications Committee to develop new or refresh existing membership materials on a yearly basis.
    • Direct the work of the Membership Committee and support the Membership Vice Chair in leading committee meetings.
    • Support the efforts of the Vice President during the Board recruitment and nominations efforts.
    • Serve as a host with Membership Committee at YNPN’s Membership Events.
Communications Vice Chair - The Communications Vice-Chair of the YNPN Austin is responsible for assisting to manage the Communications Committee, as well as all internal and external communication efforts.
  • Position Specific Responsibilities
    • Assists the Chair in managing the Communications Committee and leading committee meetings.
    • Assists in oversight of committee communication.
    • Assists in management of YNPN Austin website.
    • Oversees the publishing of monthly email digest to membership base.
    • Sends special notifications to membership base, as needed.
    • Markets and promotes YNPN events social media presence and other channels.
    • Maintains strict branding guidelines on all YNPN materials.
    • Attends YNPN’s monthly professional development events when available. 
Professional Development Vice Chair - The Professional Development Vice Chair of the YNPN Austin Board of Directors is responsible for working with the Professional Development Chair in managing the Programming Committee, developing key relationships with organizations in the community, and overseeing the implementation and execution of all professional development and social service events.
  • Position Specific Responsibilities
    • Serves as a member of the Professional Development Committee.
    • With Professional Development Chair, manages Professional Development Committee and leads committee meetings.
    • Oversees committee communication.
    • Oversees the implementation and execution of all professional development and social service events.
    • Develops and maintains relationships with local organizations.
    • Maintains a list of potential event spaces.
    • Develops a list of potential event speakers.
    • Attends a minimum of 3 of Board Meetings annually.
    • Attends YNPN’s monthly professional development events when available. Two Board  members must be present at each event and sign-ups will be held at Board meetings.
    • Attends other committee meetings, as necessary
Membership Vice Chair - The Membership Vice-Chair of the YNPN Austin is responsible for assisting to manage the work of the Membership Committee, as well as all internal and external communication efforts. 
  • Position Specific Responsibilities
    • Assists the Chair in managing the work of the Membership Committee and leading committee meetings.
    • Executes all monthly Meet & Greet events; including coordination with Communications committee.
    • Executes quarterly volunteer opportunities; including coordination with Communications committee.
    • Attends YNPN’s monthly professional development events when available. 
Do Gooder Games Vice Chair (Development) - The Do Gooder Games Vice-Chair is responsible for event planning, coordination and implementation of all details related to the Do Gooder Games, YNPN Austin’s annual signature event. This includes leading event committee meetings, working alongside Membership and Development chairs, building event attendance and participation, securing a venue, planning the games, and working alongside Communications on event promotion.
  • Position Specific Responsibilities
    • Manage Do Gooder Games event including all planning, event logistics, and follow-up
    • Recruit and oversee Do Gooder Games Committee
    • Manage committee communication
    • Develop and maintain and comprehensive list of Do Gooder Games participants for future events communication and YNPN membership
    • Work closely with the Development Committee
    • Establish and implement strategy/plan for future sponsorship opportunities
    • Ensures that Committee responsibilities are fulfilled:

      • Builds event participation list
      • Secures teams to participate in event
      • Secures emcee and guest judges for event
      • Collaborates with Communication Chair to build event awareness and attendance
      • Works alongside Development to create sponsorship levels and communicate Do Gooder Games needs for fundraising
      • Creates Do Gooder Games game and scoring process
      • Creates trivia questions and activities
      • Coordinates event logistics: venue, roles, supplies
      • Follows up with attendees, sponsors, etc. to thank them
Development Vice Chair - The Development Vice-Chair of the YNPN Austin is responsible for assisting the Development Chair in securing funds for the organization in the forms of individual gifts and sponsorships as well as overseeing the execution of the Do Gooder Games along with the Do Gooder Games Chair and Vice-Chair.
  • Position Specific Responsibilities
    • Assist the Development Chair in establishing annual fundraising goals
    • Establish and implement a year-round development strategy to achieve annual goals and plan for the future of the organization
    • Collaborate with the Do Gooder Games Committee to ensure fundraising goals are met for annual event and event runs smoothly
    • Ensure all sponsors/donors are appropriately recognized for their contribution
    • Collaborate with the Communications committee to create web advertising opportunities.
